47E ASSEMBLÉE GÉNÉRALE DE LA CPCCAP AU BÉNIN ET DE LA CÉLÉBRATION DES 50 ANS DE SON EXISTENCE
Une rencontre d’affaires et d’opportunités pour l’intégration des économies africaines et francophones
Du 9 au 12 mai 2023, la ville de Cotonou était le carrefour des affaires et opportunités économiques. Il s’agit du 50è anniversaire de la Conférence Permanente des Chambres Consulaires Africaines et Francophones (CPCCAP) couplée avec la 47è Assemblée Générale (AG) de cette conférence.
Plusieurs activités économiques ont meublé cette conférence dont la cérémonie de lancement s’est déroulée au palais des congrès de Cotonou. C’était en présence des sommités du monde, des Chambres Consulaires venues de plusieurs pays d’Europe, d’Afrique, en présence de la ministre de l’industrie et du commerce Alimatou Assouman Shadiya,
du président de la CCIB Arnauld Akakpo, du président de la CPCCAF Christophe EKEN, de l’ambassadeur de la France au Bénin Marc Vizy et bien d’autres.
La CPCCAF se présente comme une opportunité d’affaires qui réunit des acteurs économiques de l’Afrique Francophone. Le thème central de cette 47ème Assemblée Générale, est « 50 ans de partenariat africain et francophone ». Pendant quatre jours, les participants ont réfléchi pour le renforcement du partenariat public-privé entre les pays membres de la CPCCAF.
Ainsi, plusieurs activités ont été menées au cours de cette conférence. Il s’agit entre autres, de l’atelier des partenaires des chambres du réseau CPCCAF; de l’atelier technique sur les projets et programmes CPCCAF, en présence des bailleurs ; de l’atelier des femmes entrepreneures ; de la conférence économique avec les partenaires institutionnels de la CPCCAF.
Pour la ministre de l’industrie et du commerce du Bénin Alimatou Assouman Shadiya, le choix du Bénin pour abriter cet événement n’est pas anodin. A l’en croire, « Le Bénin, depuis 2016, a fait l’option d’une transformation en profondeur de ses fondamentaux aux fins d’atteindre à court terme un niveau de développement comparable aux pays que nous admirons aujourd’hui pour leur choix stratégique et qui sont des modèles uniquement par le travail, le travail bien fait et la bonne gouvernance administrative et financière ». Selon l’autorité ministérielle, cette conférence a permis d’évaluer la contribution de la CPCCAF à la construction d’une économie africaine francophone solide et profitable pour tous.
Le Président de la CPCCAF Christophe EKEN s’est réjouit des conventions de partenariat signées au cours de cette conférence.
Il a souligné la convention en soutien au développement des Petites et Moyennes Entreprises (PME) à travers la création d’une plateforme. De même, la Chambre du Commerce et d’Industrie du Bénin (CCI) a signé des partenariats avec la CCI de Bordeaux Gironde, la CCI du Togo,
la CCI du pointe noire (Congo Brazzaville),
la CCI du Guinée-Conakry, la CCI du Tchad et bien d’autres.
Il faut souligner que la CPCCAF a été créée le 11 mai 1973 à Dakar (Sénégal) par les Présidents Léopold Sédar Senghor (Sénégal), Félix Houphouët-Boigny (Côte d’ivoire) et Georges Pompidou (France), est un réseau international vivant et opérationnel de plus de 130 chambres et organisations, dans les 32 pays de son champ francophone, dont 26 pays africains.
Elle exerce une activité soutenue en matière de coopération économique et également de développement des partenariats entre entreprises, spécialement dans l’espace francophone.
À la fin de la de l’assemblée Générale une interview a été accordée par le Directeur Général du Panafrican Corporates Magazine FALADE Bidossessi aux présidents de chambres de commerce et d’industrie et des chambres de métiers et de l’artisanat de quelques pays présents

47TH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF CPCCAP IN BENIN AND THE CELEBRATION OF 50 YEARS OF ITS EXISTENCE
A meeting of business and opportunities for the integration of African and French-speaking economies.
From May 9 to 12, 2023, the city of Cotonou was the crossroads of business and economic opportunities. That was the 50th anniversary of the Permanent Conference of African and Francophone Consular Chambers (CPCCAP), coupled with the 47th General Assembly (GA) of the Conference.
Several economic activities commemorated this conference, the launching ceremony of which took place at the Palais des Congrès in Cotonou. It was in the presence of world leaders, Consular Chambers from several European and African countries, in the presence of the Minister of Industry and Trade, Alimatou Assouman Shadiya,
the President of the CCIB, Arnauld Akakpo, the president of the CPCCAF Christophe EKEN, the ambassador of France in Benin, Marc Vizy and many others.
The CPCCAF presents itself as a business opportunity that brings together economic actors from Francophone Africa. The central theme of this 47th General Assembly is “50 years of African and Francophone partnership”. For four days, the participants reflected on the strengthening of the public-private partnership between CPCCAF member countries.
Thus, several activities were carried out during this conference. These include, among others, the workshop for the partners of the CPCCAF network chambers; the technical workshop on CPCCAF projects and programmes, in the presence of donors; the workshop for women entrepreneurs of the economic conference with the institutional partners of the CPCCAF.
For her part, the Minister of Industry and Trade, Alimatou Assouman Shadiya, the choice of Benin to host this event is not insignificant. According to him, « Benin, since 2016, has opted for an in-depth transformation of its fundamentals in order to achieve, in the short term, a level of development comparable to the countries that we admire today for their strategic choice and who are models only through hard work, a job well done and good administrative and financial governance ». According to the minister, this conference made it possible to assess the contribution of the CPCCAF to the construction of a solid and profitable French-speaking African economy for all.
CPCCAF President Christophe EKEN was delighted with the partnership agreements signed during this conference.
He underlined the agreement in support of the development of Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) through the creation of a platform. Similarly, the Benin Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) has signed partnerships with the Bordeaux Gironde CCI,
the Togo CCI, the Pointe Noire CCI (Congo Brazzaville), 
the Guinea-Conakry CCI, the CCI of Chad and many others.
It is worth noting that the CPCCAF, created on May 11, 1973 in Dakar (Senegal) by Presidents Léopold Sédar Senghor (Senegal), Félix Houphouët-Boigny (Ivory Coast) and Georges Pompidou (France), is a living international network and operational institution of more than 130 chambers and organizations, in the 32 countries of its French-speaking field, including 26 African countries. It exercises sustained activity in terms of economic cooperation and also the development of partnerships between companies, especially in the French-speaking world
