On the occasion of the 49th anniversary of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), celebratory activities in Ivory Coast continued with a significant gesture of solidarity. Fanta CISSE Ambassador, Resident Representative to Economic Community of West African States-ECOWAS gave a donation of essential materials to the maternity ward of the Williamsville Urban Health Training, located in the commune of Adjamé in Abidjan.

This donation, consisting of a baby incubator, a delivery table and a refrigerator, was officially given to Mr. Karim Dotiémé Koné, Director of Urban Health Training in Williamsville. This symbolic gesture demonstrates ECOWAS’s continued commitment to supporting the Ivorian government’s efforts in maternal and child health.

During the presentation, She underlined the importance of regional cooperation to improve the living conditions of populations and expressed gratitude to all partners and local actors who contribute to the socio-economic development of the region.

The celebration of the 49th anniversary of ECOWAS is not only an opportunity to reflect on past achievements, but also to strengthen bonds of solidarity and promote concrete actions in favor of local communities.
